The Cash for Coloradans is a working Coalition, focused on projects and efforts that will help educate the public and our political leaders on the positive impact of direct cash policies as well as coordinating campaigns and designing legislation to bring cash to more people across our state.

About the Community Organizing Working Group
The community organizing working group aims to nurture grassroots power through engagement with everyday community members around the movement for direct cash programs in Colorado. Community members are invited to join the working group in designing and building campaigns, events, and direct action opportunities that educate the broader community about the movement and push elected officials to support the implementation of state programs.

About the Policy Working Group
The Policy Working Group’s current focus is the AI Working Group, an exploratory effort examining how Colorado can ensure the economic value generated by artificial intelligence reaches everyday Coloradans. As AI reshapes the state’s economy, its gains are increasingly concentrated at the top while workers and families face growing uncertainty about their economic futures. Building on recent 2025 research, the working group is conducting fiscal policy analysis to identify viable, non-regressive revenue sources for directing AI-generated wealth toward direct cash assistance and wealth-building initiatives, and leading community engagement work that brings workers and families into the process as paid contributors and policy co-creators.
